Biography

Scott R. Lodde brings 25+ years of real estate industry experience to his development business and consulting practice. He is experienced in asset and property management, acquisitions, financing, partnership structuring, loan workouts, accounting, financial analysis, information systems and administration. His property experience includes hotel, multi-family, office, retail, and health care.


In 2005, Mr. Lodde founded GM Hospitality Group, LLC, with Gates McVey Capital Group of Naples, FL. In 2005, the company converted two properties into condominium hotels. The Inn at Pelican Bay is a 100-room boutique condominium hotel located in Naples, FL and the Inn at the Springs (formerly the Staybridge Suites) is a 106-room extended-stay hotel located in Bonita Springs, FL. As part of his responsibilities, Mr. Lodde directed the acquisition, design, renovation and conversion of both projects.


Formerly, Scott and other colleagues founded Liberty Real Estate Group, Inc., a subsidiary of Liberty Mutual Insurance, where he held the title of Senior Vice President and Director.


Earlier, he was Vice President for National Development and Investment, a real estate development and management organization. Scott has experience in public accounting and is a certified public accountant. He holds a real estate associates license (Florida) and is a Direct Participation Programs Representative (Series 22).


He has served as Chairman on the Town of North Andover (Massachusetts) Master Plan Committee as well as the Town's Strategic Planning Committee. He was a member of the board of directors of The Residence Inn Association (TRIA), a non-profit organization comprised of Residence Inn by Marriott franchise owners.


Currently is on the Board of Directors of the Sanibel Harbour Tower Condominium Association (Fort Myers, FL) where he resides with his wife Mary Ann. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Copley Place Cooperative Corporation, the owners of the Residences at Copley Place, Boston, Massachusetts.


He earned a B.A. degree from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts and a M.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin.


Scott's achievements:
Developed the Liberty Associate Network (LAN), a property management service provided through a nationwide association of privately owned management firms.


Raised equity of over $500 million and purchased or developed 70 income-producing properties with a value of $600 million, serving as general partner.


Supervised over 30 local and regional property management firms in 23 states, responsible for over 4,8000 residential units, 1.7 million square feet of retail and office space, 1,152 hotel rooms, 445 nursing home beds and 522 retirement living units.


Directed a team of professionals responsible for the planning, development, construction and opening of a 340-room resort complex in Southwest Florida with a $50 million plus budget.


Since 1998, developed or renovated 536 hotel and condominium hotels units in Southwest Florida and New England.
